Tips on repair, and when to be concerned.

Cracks in the wood are usually repairable, depending on the degree of severity. We recommend repairing promptly, to prevent the crack from spreading. You can take it a step further by having some finish work done to make it look as good as possible if you're concerned about aesthetics. Our Gold Level Service Centers and UV finish-equipped service centers can repair cracks and, in many cases, make them disappear completely. If the damage is extreme, we may suggest a neck or body replacement.

Most finish dings aren't too concerning, but inspect the ding closely to make sure the impact didn't crack the wood. Our Gold Level Service Centers and UV finish-equipped service centers can also touch-up dings and, in many cases, make them disappear completely. It's important to note that a ding or a finish chip-out won't affect the guitar's sound, playability or humidification and repair is generally not something required for the performance of your guitar.

Feel free to contact us for help in having a crack or ding repaired. Please be prepared to e-mail a picture to us in order to receive the most accurate estimate.
