Taylor Guitars Limited Warranty - UK

This warranty only applies to the original purchaser who is a resident of the United Kingdom. It covers all Taylor instruments, branded gig bags, cases, pickups, and pickup systems from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. This warranty may be extended for instruments only (excluding any electronic components) for an additional 10 years if the instrument is registered with Taylor within 6 months of initial purchase. Limitations and restrictions apply. Please view the full-length UK Limited Warranty terms and conditions below for complete details.

Taylor-Listug Operating B.V., Maroastraat 113, 1060 LG Amsterdam, Netherlands ("Taylor") grants you the following limited warranty ("Limited Warranty") for guitars of the brand "Taylor Guitars" as well as certain other products of that brand (as specified below), subject to the limitations set forth herein, in each case provided that (i) you are the original purchaser of the product, (ii) you are resident of the United Kingdom, and (iii) you have purchased the product from Taylor or an authorized Taylor dealer.

2-Year Limited Warranty. Taylor warrants solely to the original purchaser of this Taylor musical instrument (“Guitar”), but not to any subsequent owner, that the Guitar shall remain free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of two (2) years from the date of original purchase (“2-Year Limited Warranty”). Taylor further warrants solely to the original purchaser that all Taylor Guitars-branded gig bags, cases, pickups and pickup systems – including Taylor solid body electric guitar pickups, installed acoustic pickups and pickup systems and pickup systems sold separately – shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of two (2) years from the date of original purchase. .

10-Year Limited Warranty Extension. If the original purchaser of a Guitar properly registers the Guitar within six (6) months from the date of original purchase, the 2-Year Limited Warranty term shall be automatically extended (except, however, in respect of any electronic components) for an additional ten (10) years (“Extended Limited Warranty”). If the Guitar is not properly registered by the original purchaser within six (6) months of original purchase, it shall remain subject to the 2-Year Limited Warranty. To properly register the Guitar, go to: www.taylorguitars.com/support/owners-registration. For the avoidance of doubt, such warranty extension is not available for any products other than Guitars. .

Warranty Repair. If you make a valid claim under this Limited Warranty, Taylor will, at its choice, either repair the defective product or replace its defective parts without charge to you for either parts or labor. For such repair or replacement, Taylor may utilize the materials and parts then in use rather than the original materials and parts used for production of the product. Taylor may choose to have the warranty repair carried out on its behalf by an authorized Taylor Guitars dealer, distributor or repair center. .

Exclusions. This Limited Warranty does not apply:

1. to normal wear and tear of the product or its parts (including but not limited to breakage of frets, strings, nuts, saddle, batteries, controls, switches, jacks, plated surfaces, tuning devices, pickguards or finish) or normal wear and tear to any Guitar case or gig bag (including but not limited to handles, zippers, latches, case hardware, or finish);

2. to asserted defects or damage that are part of normal usage or that are caused by modification, misuse, neglect, abuse, accidents, acts of nature, or improper maintenance or storage of the Guitar or its parts (Taylor reserves the exclusive right to make such determination of misuse, modification, or neglect based on inspection by Taylor or an authorized Taylor service center);

3. to asserted defects or deviations involving subjective personal likes or judgments, in particular on tone, material, grain characteristics or colors of wood, and finishing;

4. to asserted defects, damage or deterioration such as cracks, splitting, or warping of wood or damage to the Guitar’s finish caused by accident or exposure to changes in or extreme instances of temperature or humidity, exposure to sunlight, moisture, body salts or acids, guitar straps, or guitar stands or hangers which cause harm to the instrument;

5. to defects asserted by any purchaser who did not purchase the Guitar from Taylor or an authorized Taylor dealer in the United Kingdom;

6. to Guitars owned by a person residing outside of the United Kingdom;

7. to electrical or electronic components not manufactured by Taylor;

8. to setups, adjustments, or any routine maintenance;

9. to any Guitar whose serial number is missing, altered, or tampered with in any fashion; or

10. to asserted defects or damage to a Guitar which has had work performed on it by or has been otherwise repaired or modified by a technician or repair person other than a Taylor certified technician at an authorized Taylor service center.

Limitations on Obligations. The obligations of Taylor hereunder are limited to repair or replacement of parts of the product found to be defective under this limited warranty. In addition, Taylor reserves the right to modify, refine, or improve its products and parts, including making mechanical and electrical refinements and wood species substitutions, without incurring any responsibility to modify, exchange, replace or repair any parts or products to meet prior specifications. This Limited Warranty does not cover circumstances beyond Taylor’s control, nor does it apply when failure is due to shipping damage, accident, alteration, modification, unauthorized service, misuse, abuse, use with incompatible accessories or attachments. IN NO EVENT SHALL TAYLOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO TIME, WAGES OR LOST PROFITS, OF ANY NATURE OR KIND OR FOR DAMAGES TO OR LOSS OF PROPERTY. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE SOLE WARRANTY OF TAYLOR GUITARS WITH REGARD TO GUITARS ONLY AND IS GIVEN IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PURPOSE. .

No Other Warranties. The Limited Warranty set forth herein constitutes the entire warranty and representation of Tayor with regard to the products identified herein. Taylor does not make any other express warranty than stated herein or any implied warranty, in particular not regarding the fitness for a particular purpose or its merchantability. This Limited Warranty shall be controlling over any conflicting terms and conditions of any purchase orders, contracts or invoices which may be executed in connection with the purchase of any Taylor musical instrument or related product. No representation or warranty made by any Taylor salesperson, dealer, agent, representative or employee shall be binding upon Taylor other than as set forth herein. .

Claim Procedures. In order to make a claim under this Limited Warranty, you must first contact Taylor (or, alternatively, any authorized Taylor Guitars dealer, distributor or repair center). A list of current authorized repair centers is available at https://www.taylorguitars.com/support/repair-centers. If you plan to ship the product instead of visiting a repair center in person, you must first call Taylor for a return authorization number. In the UK, call +31 (0) 20 667 6033. After getting a return authorization, you must obtain and pay for any permits required to export from your country to The Netherlands; then you must send the product with any required permits, with shipping and insurance prepaid by you, to Taylor at Taylor-Listug Operating B.V., Maroastraat 113, 1060 LG Amsterdam, Netherlands, together with (a) evidence confirming the original purchase by you (such as a copy of the sales invoice or receipt, a credit card slip, or the like); (b) a brief description of the nature of the asserted defect and photographic or other documentary evidence requested by Taylor; and (c) your name and phone number and your address to which the product is to be returned. If you fail to contact Taylor prior to exporting your product from your country, or if you fail to get any necessary permit for your product, the product could be subject to government confiscation and/or Taylor may not be able to obtain a permit to ship it back to you in your country. Taylor shall review the description of the asserted defect, examine the product, and make service, repairs and/or replacements as appropriate under this Limited Warranty. Upon completion of the service, the product shall be returned by Taylor to the original purchaser, with shipping, permits and insurance to be paid by the purchaser. In the event it is determined that the asserted defect is not covered by or is excluded from this Limited Warranty, you will be contacted with an estimate of repairs. If you do not give approval for the cost of the repair, then the product will be returned to you without repair or replacement; any costs for shipping, permits and insurance are to be paid by you. .

Non-transferability. This Limited Warranty is not transferable or assignable in whole or in part without Taylor’s prior written consent. .

Your statutory rights. Consumers may have legal rights under applicable national legislation governing the sale of consumer goods (including, without limitation, in the event that a product is defective or otherwise not in conformity with the contract for sale). This Limited Warranty does not affect your legal rights under such legislation, which exist independently of what this warranty covers and of whether or not you choose to claim under this warranty. .
