Chris Tomlin
Contemporary Christian artist Chris Tomlin was born in Grand Saline, Texas in 1972, and began his musical life by writing his first song at age 14. After spending his youth as a worship leader, Tomlin went on to launch a successful music career with his first solo release, The Noise We Make (2001), which featured several songs that placed high on Christian Copyright Licensing International’s 2005 list of the top 500 worship songs. His songs have risen to the top spots on the worship charts, with tunes like “How Great Is Our God” and “Forever” each landing in the top 5.
As a working musician, Tomlin tours frequently with his band, and has appeared alongside such acts as Delirious? And Steven Curtis Chapman. His 2014 album Love Ran Red spurred the band to tour internationally and appear on a live Christian album titled Adore: Christmas Songs of Worship. He continues to write music and tour on the heels of his most recent release, 2016’s Never Lose Sight.
