UNCONSCIOUSLY YOURS
I'm Tim Flannery's younger brother, and now am the proud owner of a
25th Anniversary 310-MCE. When Tim asked me to play guitar and sing with him at a couple gigs, I
was playing a handmade Canadian cedar guitar. One evening before a rehearsal, Tim asked me to come upstairs and listen to something. He pointed to a guitar case and told
me to grab the guitar so he could show me a riff. When I opened the case, I saw a beautiful, dark Taylor cutaway. As my eyes ran up the marbled ebony fretboard I saw "Tom
Flannery" engraved on the head stock. I couldn't believe it. What an awesome and generous gift.
I have fallen in love with the rich tone and perfect tuning, which complements the folk style of Tim's music. I hold bachelors and masters degrees in choral and orchestral
conducting and music theory, but I feel like I'm just starting music all over again. I can't put my new Taylor down!
Last week, we were playing a show at Java Joe's [a coffeehouse in San Diego, California]. Steve Poltz came to listen and hang out with us. When Tim asked him to come up and
play a couple of songs, he used my new Taylor. As I sat offstage and listened, I could hear not only his skillful playing, but the unbelievable warmth and punch of the 310
mahogany cutaway. I am more than satisfied, I'm unconscious! I'm your new loyal follower.
