Model 855

A MUSICAL BRIEFCASE
A well-deserved thank you to all at Taylor Guitars. In the 15 years that I have played guitar, I have struggled with inferior guitars and at times wondered if it was at all worth it. Until Taylor came into my life, nothing has graced my fingers with elegance, excellent design, phenomenal workmanship, beauty, and playability, as much as my Taylor 420 and 855 have. I love my Taylors so much that I just had to get a Baby Taylor to take with me on trips and to work, for my daily rock'n'roll lunch hour. Thank you not only for the wonderful instruments that you brought into this world, but also for my little odd-shaped brief case that carries music to my day.

PERFECT REMEDY FOR CLASSICAL GAS
I just wanted to tell your company about my experience. I have been a [other brand] man for 30 years. I own two and was looking to get an older 12-string. After visiting several shops and trying most models, I liked them, but something was not right. A salesman suggested I try some other brands for comparison. After playing [several other high-end brands], and assorted cheaper ones, your neat little 355 was the most enjoyable experience. And I will not try to convey how much I enjoyed the 855.

Needless to say, even though I am a weekend warrior and far from being a pro, I am convinced that your 12-strings are the best around for what my ear wants. If my [other brand] doesn't sell this week, I plan to trade it for a 355 straight across. That is a $1700 guitar for a $1000 guitar; that is how much I want one. And, I plan to absolutely wear it out, or try to. "Classical Gas" really sounds great on a 12-string. Thanks for listening.

CASE OPEN, CASE CLOSED
I am a 21-year-old from Marshall, Missouri. Recently, I went to St. Louis and bought my first Taylor guitar, an 855. I had never played a Taylor before in my life, but I always knew they were good guitars. I wanted the 855 12-string because Neil Young plays one, and I absolutely love the sound of his. When the sales representative at McMurray Music opened up the 855 case, it absolutely blew me away. Then, I strummed it! It sounded just like I knew and hoped it would.

I drove all day to pick up this guitar, and it was time well spent; my 855 is the kind of guitar you don't mind taking a road trip to get. I absolutely love it, and I'm glad to be the owner of such a fantastic guitar. I am a student at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, and I've already played it for several people in my dorm building. There have been several comments about how good the guitar looks and sounds C comments from people who know nothing about guitars.

Thanks again, and thank you for sending me your Taylor video.

Loved my 310 so much, I ran out and bought a 355! Here's a photo.

"RELATIVELY" REFRESHING
In December 1998, I became a part of the Taylor "family" by purchasing an 810, 710, (rosewood and spruce), and a 420-R, which was a limited edition, according to the dealer. I foresee another 400 series for my son, and an 855 for me, later this year. Kudos to Terry Myers, for answering some questions about my 810, and for promptly sending me some gold-plated truss rod cover screws for the 710. It is refreshing to call you folks and talk to human beings, as opposed to automated attendants.

YO QUIERO TAYLOR
Happy to announce the arrival of our five NEW Chihuahuas, one boy and four girls. Being the proud owner of several Taylor guitars, I named the boy "Taylor" instead of [two other brands]. I just wanted to share my joy with you and enclose a picture of my "Taylor". Thank you so much for your wonderful guitars. By the way, I love my 855 12-string, which I play almost everyday.
