Just wanted to thank Taylor for an awesome guitar in the 510ce. I’ve had it a year now and it never ceases to amaze me and my friends with its great playability and sound. My next guitar will be a Taylor as well. I think you’ll be picking up some sales from my friends who now all want Taylors. No need to advertise on TV. :-)

SIT! SPEAK! STRUM!
I read your advertisement in Acoustic Guitar magazine regarding Sibyl Lopez naming her guitar after her dog
"Spot". Well, quite conversely, I named my Golden Retriever "Taylor" after my guitar (a 510ce). I've enclosed a
picture and her puppy "obedience" certificate! I still have the guitar and the dog, and intend to have them both
for a long time. Thanks for making great guitars!

310 TONE
Your website is a wealth of knowledge. I am impressed at the sense of urgency you have shown to my e-mail requests
(the '99 catalog arrived in three days, the "new neck" video in two days). By the way, the video is excellent. I have
over 25 years manufacturing/tooling experience, so I know what "close tolerance" means to the quality of your guitars.
The new neck design is something to brag about (maybe in the 2000 catalog?).
Now for the most exciting part. I just bought a new 310-CE. The action (due to the neck design, I'm sure), the fit and
finish, the beauty of the wood grain, even the smell of this fine instrument, are all superb. But the tone, the tone,
the tone. Need I say more? Playing this guitar is a joy. I noticed a marked improvement in my playing right away ¾ due
to the lower, faster action I'm sure ¾ but my improvement continues with time. It sounds better, so I practice more,
which in turn causes me to play better.
When I decided to buy a new guitar, I made a list of "must have" features: ebony fretboard, cutaway, solid wood, rich
tone, and a pick-up. I wasn't locked-in on a brand name, but I was leaning toward [other brand]. The day I decided on a
310-CE, I played [various other brands], five or six Taylor models, and my old [other brand] (for reference). The ones
I liked, I then played plugged in.
My first choice was the 310-CE. Very close second choice was the 510-CE (may have been number-one if it had come with
Elixirs). By the way, only one [other brand] made it to the amplifier. I must admit, it sounded almost as good as some
of the Taylors I played that day, but the price was excessive and why buy "almost as good," even if it's a popular
brand?
If you continue to provide the excellent products and service you have demonstrated to me, I believe your brand will
soon surpass the others. It already has among the Christian musicians I play with. Come to think of it, of the 20 or
so guitar players in our fellowship, I've only seen one [other brand,] but at least seven or eight Taylors.

JACKSON HIGH-FIVE
One recent Saturday, I purchased a Taylor 510-CE - this guitar is awesome! I am totally pleased with my purchase. I
play lead and rhythm guitar, both flatpicked and fingerpicked, and this guitar has satisfied all my musical needs and desires admirably. My
gospel group has played three times this past week and my 510-CE amazes me.
I had been playing another brand of guitar for years, and it is also an excellent guitar. I had no intention of buying a new guitar. I had also
worked part-time in a guitar shop for 5¼ years and I was constantly exposed to quality guitars. I would have to be totally convinced
before I stepped away from my "old faithful". However, when I first played my Taylor about 1¼ months ago, I could not get its sound out of my
mind. So, after numerous visits to Jackson Music here in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, I bought it.
One last thing about my Jackson Music: I must have played my Taylor six or seven times, and worried them even more. I cannot have asked for
someone to be any more accommodating and courteous than the folks at Jackson Music. I guess a lot of times the only feedback that gets
passed on are complaints from unsatisfied customers. Not me, I will give credit where I feel it is deserved, and it is certainly deserved here.
You have an excellent dealer and representative with Jackson Music! And no, they don't even know about this letter!
