A HOOLEY OF A TIME
Just thought I'd drop you a line from sunny England (ha ha!) to say thanks for producing
great guitars. I spent a couple of hours this weekend working my way through almost every
acoustic guitar in The Guitar, Amp and Keyboard Centre in Brighton and, naturally, ended up
buying one of your models -- a
414ce. I have to say that none of the others had anything like
the quality feel of this instrument, and the sound -- wow!
I haven't put it down since I bought it and have found it such a joy to play. Strumming or picking, it
really does the business and I'm looking forward to its first outing in the acoustic music clubs here
in the South of England. I'm a singer and songwriter (struggling, of course) and having an
absolute hooley of a time taking original material out to the masses. So far, it's all worked pretty
well, and I'd say that with that unique Taylor sound, things should work even better.

THE HUNCHBACK OF HALESOVEN
I am a 33-year-old guitarist based in England. I play in two bands, and also do some session work. Whilst visiting the
US back in August, I had the opportunity to try a few Taylor models. At the time, I made a decision that a Taylor was
for me. Question was, how long would it take to get one. Not long!
I bought my first Taylor at a music show in England on 19th November. The 414ce
was the one for me. With a major gig that night, I was a little worried about using it so soon after buying it. I shouldn't have worried;
the guitar was perfect, the feel was as if I had been playing it all my life. The sound was truly awesome. However, I
have a bad back this morning, as I have been hunched over it all weekend; I simply can't put it down. Thank you Taylor.
I have been waiting for a guitar like this all my life.
P.S. I've enclosed the best picture I could find. Please excuse
the orange suit - mind you, it sets the guitar off, don't you think?

SWITCHING SHOES
Just wanted to comment on my recent purchase of a 414ce.
I was not really familiar with your line of guitars (I had heard a lot about them, but had not played one), until a
recent visit to the local MARS music store here in Orlando, Florida. I had decided to purchase a lesser-quality guitar,
when the salesman put a 414ce in my hand. It took about 30
seconds to decide to spend the extra money.
This is the best-sounding and best-playing guitar I have ever played. I have decided to call this one my "starter"
Taylor and work my way up through your line. I have always envied a friend of mine who has several very nice
[other brand] guitars. However, after playing my Taylor, I think the shoe is on the other foot. Thanks for making a
great guitar!

BIRTH OF A SALESMAN
Thank you for your support of the Taylor workshops. I have attended three over the past two years, and each has
been informative, entertaining, and inspirational. The artists have been superbly professional musicians and very
personal with their audience. I think these workshops are the second-best way to promote the continued growth in
popularity of acoustic guitar playing. The best way is picking up a Taylor guitar for the first time.
I've been playing for 35 years and now own two Taylor guitars (a 555 and a 414-CE),
which I love. I also really
enjoy reading the Wood&Steel newsletter. Learning about the production of Taylor guitars and the innovations you
are developing makes all of us owners 'salespersons'. Keep up the great work!

WOLF'S GANG
We're an acoustic-rock cover band from Neuwied, Germany, and looking forward to creating our own website with info, tour dates, pictures, and all other kinds of info
and fun stuff. We're using three Taylor guitars a 414-KCE, a Baby Taylor, and a 310 for live performance and in the studio for our last demo CD. Playing grunge-rock
covers on Taylor guitars sounds pretty good! We like the guitars very much.

I can't tell you how grateful and jazzed I was to receive the [requested] pickguard and the Taylor On Guitars: New Neck Designs video. When my
wife brought the mail to me, we were both amazed at how super-fast you guys are. I popped that tape in as soon as I could get the plastic wrapper
off. I have to say that Bob makes a great case for the new necks. I must admit that I wish I had a new model to go with my others, but there is a lot
of life left to get another Taylor. The Baby looks like it was spawned by my 414-CE. It's so cool!
