Tone
Describing tone is like trying to explain what vanilla ice cream tastes like. We describe it in relation to something else, or by using subjective terms. Yet, words fail to describe what the ear never fails to hear. While most players would agree with our descriptions, let your own ears be the judge.

Dalbergia retusa
The densest and strongest of rosewoods, this Mexican variety exhibits an exotic visual blend of orange, red, and brown hues, and delivers a rich, full sound with wonderfully complex overtones, resounding bass, and robust volume. Its tonal properties are often likened to those of Brazilian rosewood. We've made several batches of limited edition guitars from cocobolo, and they never fail to captivate players.

Available on select limited editions.
