Without a doubt, our most precious resource is our staff of guitar builders. Their contribution of skill, passion, and dedication is something that's difficult to accurately measure, but we know it's the key to making a Taylor a Taylor. Sure, we rely on machines to make precision cuts that people simply cannot. In the end though, it's the decisions made by our employees—many with 10, 15, even 20 years of experience working at Taylor—that makes all the difference. The design of a guitar is critical, but the ability to execute that design consistently, day in and day out, is the mark of a quality builder. Hiring and training talented builders and providing them the best tools and technology to get their job done is our mission.
