Overview

We use the finest quality woods, like ebony for every fretboard we make, no matter what the price. Quartersawn, carefully book-matched tonewoods such as mahogany, rosewood and maple—to name a few—are sorted, dried, and prepared by Bob Taylor and his experienced team of luthiers. Delicate inlay and binding work is also done by hand, providing the care and "touch" no machine can. We recognize that precision matters, which is why we rely on laser cutters and computer-aided milling machines to consistently hit minute tolerances that were impossible a decade ago. Whether operating a machine or scraping wood by hand, it always comes down to skilled craftsmen putting their passion into every Taylor they touch.
