Limiteds Archive
Over the years, as our line of guitars has changed and expanded, we've created a number of limited-edition models. These off-line guitars enable us to color outside the lines, to try different combinations of woods, features, electronics, inlays, and materials. Some limiteds eventually are modified and added to our regular line. But all of them have been fun to make, and are even more fun to own and to play.

The 2003 Winter NAMM show marked the debut of stunning special editions, a new roster of Signature Models, and two captivating Commemorative Models.

The 2002 Fall Limited Editions represent one of our boldest collections of limiteds yet. Wood substitutions abound, including imbuia and cocobolo. Dreadnoughts find a new voice (500 Series and higher), while "V" profile necks accentuate the 510 and 710 LTDs. White curly maple graces a spiffed-up 600 Series, 12-strings debut in a Grand Auditorium shape, and Doyle Dykes finds his "Desert Rose."

Taylor collaborated with Jewel, Kenny Loggins, Richie Sambora, Doyle Dykes, John Cephas, and Chris Proctor to create several distinctive Signature Models. Each guitar incorporates design elements of personal significance to the artist, as well as interpretive embellishments and materials that are Taylor's homage to their art, as well as to their status.

The Gallery Series represents a harmonious marriage of the visual and industrial arts; of precision technology and artistic interpretation; of ultramodern synthetic materials and Old World marquetry; of Pop Art Kitsch and Zen imagery that evokes ancient Japanese prints. In other words, these are really cool "picture" guitars.
